ABOUT US

For many of us, finding a therapist can feel a lot like a first date—nerve-wracking, a little awkward, and filled with the hope that the person across from us "just gets it." At Calming Tides Therapy LLC, we know what it’s like to sit on the other side of the couch. We know the exhaustion of having to explain what being queer or trans means, or the sting of having our cultural traditions pathologized. We’ve been the clients looking for a sign—any sign—that we wouldn't have to filter our experiences just to get help.
We decided to build the space we always wished we had.
We are a team of queer, trans, and BIPOC clinicians who bring our full, authentic selves to our work. We believe that therapy works best when you don't have to spend the first twenty minutes of every session educating your therapist on your existence. We’re so glad you found your way here. Whether you’re celebrating a win, navigating a transition, or just trying to find your footing, you don’t have to do it alone. You’re among family now.
